Gigi LeMaster, six-time US Open champion and 2021 Pickleball Hall of Fame Inductee, will be hosting a pickleball clinic at the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Center on May 14th and 15th.

This clinic will help beginner through advanced beginner players with their footwork and paddle position, net game, serve and return, third shots and volleys.

LeMaster is an IFP and IPTPA certified coach, so having a person with her experience and accolades come to Elizabethton is an amazing win for this region.

“We are really excited about having Gigi come to Elizabethton. She is an incredible ambassador for this popular game, and she is one of the best,” said Parks and Recreation Director Mike Mains. “To have her in Elizabethton, holding this clinic for us, is an incredible opportunity and we can’t thank her enough for sharing her knowledge and talents with our community.”

All slots for this clinic have been filled by players who have been participating in the E-Town Pickleball league and they are excited to learn from one of the pickleball greats.

No spectators will be allowed as this is a paid, registered clinic.

Pickleball in Elizabethton is still fairly new as it is approaching its one-year anniversary. Michele Zoerb moved into our region and wanted to see pickleball played in Elizabethton and she has catapulted this league into one of our most popular athletic programs.

“Pickleball is really new to Elizabethton and with the hard work of our local Director, Michele Zoerb, this game has really taken off and has been a wonderful addition to the recreational services that we provide. Michele has come in and created numerous opportunities for local players and this clinic is one example of her great work,” said Mains.
