Celebrating Seniors… Star Sports honoring spring sports seniors

Elijah Smith - 2020 graduate of Hampton High School. Smith is an active member of Sunset FWB Church. He was a member of the HHS football team for 3 years and played baseball for 4 years where he received the Cody Montgomery Baseball Award in 2017/2018. Smith also was a member of the Hampton band for 5 years. He is in the school's National Honor Society and is the current President of the Hampton High School FCA in which he has participated for four years. Smith participate in the Carter County Youth Leadership program in 2018-2019.Smith will graduate with a 4.0 average and will attend ETSU in the fall where he will study Exercise Science.

Izaak Hill (L) along with fellow Hampton senior Matt Hughes. Hill was All-Conference in golf for three years as a Bulldog reaching the state tournament in his senior season. He has played four years on the Bulldog basketball and soccer teams. In basketball this season Hampton was the regional and sectional champs. Hill plans on attending Walters State to play golf.

Claire Johnson is the only senior softball player on the Happy Valley Lady Warrior Softball Team. She has played softball for Happy Valley since 5th grade. Her parents are Robbie and Donna Johnson from Johnson City. Johnson plans to attend college and major in nursing.
Today is Star Sports second installment of celebrating senior athletes who have had their season abruptly ended after only getting to participate in two to three contests.
We encourage all coaches, parents, and guardians to submit a photo of your spring sport senior with name, awards, and accolades and family members so we can acknowledge their contributions to their school and communities.
