Florida woman arrested in Johnson City for $68,000 loan fraud

JOHNSON CITY – Nicole Clark, 28, of Lauderhill, Fla., was arrested by Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) investigators on Jan. 13 and charged with theft over $60,000, nine counts of forgery, two counts of criminal simulation, and identity theft.

The arrest followed an ongoing investigation by JCPD in cooperation with a local credit union, which alerted authorities after identifying a suspicious loan application.

According to investigators, Clark fraudulently obtained a $68,000 vehicle loan from the credit union using falsified identity documents.

Clark was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where she is being held pending further legal proceedings.
