Johnson City man arrested in road rage shooting

JOHNSON CITY — Officers with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jacob Holmes, 34, of Johnson City, on Jan. 28 and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault and four counts of felony reckless endangerment.
At 2 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting on North Roan Street near East 11th Avenue. Investigators determined the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident involving Holmes and the victim.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Holmes was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the JCPD for questioning. He is expected to be transferred to the Washington County Detention Center tonight.
