Elizabethton Water Resources is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for system areas affected by a water main break on Milligan Hwy. near the intersection of Warrior Lane.

Customers on Milligan Hwy., between Warrior Lane and Sparks Road, may experience low pressure or no water. Other areas may be affected, including Dave Buck Road, Dosser Lane, Greenlee Road, and surrounding areas.

Crews are working to restore service, and a follow-up notice will be released once repairs are completed. As a precaution, residents experiencing low pressure during or immediately after the repair are recommended to bring tap water to a rolling boil and allow it to boil for one minute.

Let the water cool before drinking or using. Boiling water is unnecessary for washing clothes, bathing, or washing dishes.
