Michael “Mike” Butler Houser was born on June 23, 1947 and left this earth to enter the gates of Heaven on August 29, 2024. A native of Mountain City, Tenn., he was the son of the late Gene and Emeline Houser.  

Mike worked 27 dedicated years at TPI Corporation. He was an active member of First Church of God in Elizabethton and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He loved his church and church family dearly.

He leaves behind his loving bride, Diane; his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Jennifer Houser; his daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Matt Geagley; his sister, Nancy Negris (David, Cassie and Sarah); his brother-in-law, Reverend Dr. Timothy Scott Holder; his beloved grandchildren, Sage (Summer), Katie (Jody), and Karter (Dustin); and great-grandchild, Sage Milhorn.

Mike was a strong dedicated Christian man. He loved his family, being out in the yard working and always had a project going. He will be lovingly remembered and missed greatly.

A private memorial will be held at a future date.  

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Hillview Rehabilitation Center of Elizabethton for their kindness and care during Mike’s illness.
