Elizabethton Police Department reports series of arrests in recent weeks

The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:
- On April 17, Officer Samuel Woodby responded to a disturbance at 841 West Elk Ave. (Exxon) where Kathy Sue Lingerfelt was found in an agitated state. Upon investigation, Lingerfelt was arrested for public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.
- On April 16, Cpl. Tim Garland handled a case at 100 Parkway Blvd. (probation and parole) where Jacob T. Carty was cited for falsification of a drug test.
- On April 15, Officer Nicholas Kerns apprehended Leonard A. Price after a vehicle theft incident that led to a foot pursuit and ended with Price being caught in the river. Investigator Maney will be handling further investigations.
- On April 14, Officer Samuel Woodby arrested Jonathan Michael Cook for public intoxication at 781 West Elk Ave. (Burger King) after responding to reports of disorderly conduct.
- On April 13, Officer James Deese detained Joshua Scott Johnson at 215 Broad St. (McDonald’s) for evading and resisting arrest.
- On April 12, Captain Matt Croy responded to a case of falsified drug testing at 100 A Parkway Blvd. (CCI Probation) involving Martin Taylor Acosta.
- On April 11, Cpl. Mosier and Sgt. Johnson arrested Gary Franklin Fletcher at 419 West Elk Ave. (probation and parole office) for violation of probation.
Note: All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
