Elizabethton Police Department reports recent arrests

The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:
February 20: Officer James Deese responded to a BOLO on Hwy. 19E for a white Dodge Durango swerving on the roadway without a visible tag. Rebecca Michelle Jones was driving and James Ray Jones was the passenger. Rebecca’s North Carolina driver’s license was confirmed to be suspended. James’s license was for identification only. They were in possession of an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. Rebecca Jones was charged with driving on a suspended license, misuse of registration, and financial responsibility. She has a court date set for March 4.
February 17: Officer James Deese assisted Cpt. Croy with the arrest of Christine Ellen Monetti, who exhibited signs of intoxication and refused field sobriety tests. Monetti was charged with public intoxication and has a court date set for March 4.
February 10: Sgt. David Johnson and Cpl. Eric Norman responded to a disorderly female, Leah Vines Anderson, at 920 Broad St. (Food City). Anderson appeared under the influence of narcotics, was unsteady on her feet, and unable to provide coherent responses. Due to her being a threat to herself and others, Anderson was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
Note: All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
