Two men have been charged with first-degree murder in the investigation of an Elizabethton man found shot to death in a crashed vehicle last week.
The incident took place in the early morning hours of Dec. 1, when police responded to reports of noise issues and gunshots near Oakmont Drive and Milligan Highway. Once there, they found two crashed vehicles and the body of Phillip M. Glass, 31, of Elizabethton, in one of the vehicles.
Two persons of interest — Cody A. Miller, 23, and Kimberly Nicole Thomas, 20 — were arrested Dec. 3 after a multi-day search.
On Monday morning, police reported that Miller has been charged with first-degree murder. Also, Brandon Lee Blackwell, 24, of Hampton, was arrested on Saturday and charged with first-degree murder. Thomas was released from custody after questioning.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
