On July 4, at approximately 5:12 p.m., officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jeremy Combs of Johnson City and charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.
Officers responded to an address for a separate investigation. Combs was a resident of the home, and it was discovered he had possession of a firearm along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Because of prior felony convictions, his possession of the firearm was unlawful and he was arrested on all the above charges and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held on a $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Washington County Sessions Court on July 5.
On July 5, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Jackie Dickens of Johnson City and charged him with theft of a motor vehicle.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to 5022 Bobby Hicks Highway in reference to a vehicle that had been stolen from the parking lot. During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that Dickens had entered the vehicle and drove off. Dickens was located inside the vehicle and placed into custody.
The suspect was arrested. He was transported to the Washington County Dentition Center without incident and is being held on a $5,000 bond. Arraignment was set for July 6 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On July 5, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Samantha Cissom of Jonesborough for burglary and theft of property under $1,000.
Officers were dispatched to 2915 W. Market St., on a shoplifter. Upon arrival, contact was made with the shoplifter, Samantha Cissom. Officers were informed that Cissom had been trespassed from all Walmart locations on Feb. 5, 2022, for a previous shoplifting incident. Due to already being trespassed, Cissom was charged with burglary and theft of property under $1,000. She is currently being held on a $2,000 bond, and is set to appear in court on July 6.
