FROM STAFF REPORTS
One thing that the new East Tennessee Baseball League has done is allowed teams to play teams across classifications that wouldn’t normally be scheduled.
On Wednesday, the Class 1-A Bulldogs (Hampton) got the opportunity to take on the Class 3A Home of Daniel Norris (Science Hill) and all the boys from Hampton could do was watch as the Johnson City crew plated one run after the other to win in a whitewash, 23-0.
It marked a tough week of competition for the Bulldogs after facing off against the Deamons (Greeneville) on Monday in Johnson City.
The upcoming week holds some hope for an opportunity to be more competitive for the Bulldogs.
