Friday afternoon in Stoney Creek, a single-vehicle wreck on Highway 91 resulted in the arrest of Christopher Richardson, 38, of Elizabethton.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol officer Greg Marlowe, Richardson was traveling northbound on Highway 91E at a high rate of speed before losing control in a curve and rolling his vehicle, a 1996 Ford Explorer, three times.

Richardson was taken into custody and transported to the Carter County Correctional facility by THP Officer Bruce Bolton. Richardson is being charged with DUI first offense, due care, simple possession of a schedule VI drug, and drug paraphernalia.

Richardson was the only passenger in the vehicle and there were no injuries.
