‘Living History’ to take place this Saturday

The “Living History” event will take place this Saturday, Aug. 31, at Sycamore Shoals State Park.

Reenactor Jeff Campbell said the event is meant to capture another side of the World War II era: the home front.

Presenters will showcase photos, stories and other memorabilia.

Campbell said they wanted to showcase the “greatest generation” in a multitude of different ways after his experience reenacting the Normandy invasion in June.

One specific lecture will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, but the rest of the presentations are not time-sensitive, so those interested in attending can do so at any point between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
