Johnson City man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor

JOHNSON CITY — A Johnson City man has been charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor following an investigation by the Johnson City Police Department’s Special Victims Unit.
On April 15, investigators arrested Ronnie Miller, 51, after he was called in for a compliance check related to the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. According to police, the compliance check was initiated based on a tip received by the department.
During the interview, Miller confessed to possessing child pornography, investigators said. Authorities seized multiple electronic devices belonging to Miller, which are currently undergoing forensic analysis.
Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
Miller was transported to the Washington County Detention Center.
