Nancy Carol Blevins, age 87, of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Hillview Health Center. She was a daughter of the late Calvin and Grace Haynes Feathers and was born in Johnson City on Sept. 1, 1937. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley “Jake” Blevins, and her beloved dog, “Jake.”
Carol retired as a teacher after 33 years of service, teaching at Happy Valley Elementary and Happy Valley Middle School. She enjoyed gardening and walking her dog.
Survivors include one daughter, Becky Blevins; her grand-dogs, “Butch” and “Becker”; and a good friend, Jane Smith, all of Elizabethton.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park, with the graveside to begin at 3 p.m.
Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Dr., Elizabethton, TN 37643.
