Free Bluegrass Jamboree set for June 14 at Covered Bridge Park

The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department will host a special all-day concert this summer featuring some of the best in local and regional bluegrass music.

The Bluegrass Jamboree, presented by Covered Bridge Jams, is set for Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Covered Bridge Park. The free event will begin at 1 p.m. and continue through approximately 10 p.m.

This year’s lineup includes Hollow Ground, Eric McMurray and Granby Road, Appalachian Trail Bluegrass, and will conclude with a headlining performance by the award-winning Balsam Range.

Balsam Range is one of the most decorated acts in bluegrass, with International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) honors including Entertainer of the Year (2014, 2018), Album of the Year (2013, 2017), Song of the Year (2011, 2015), Vocal Group of the Year (2014, 2015), Male Vocalist of the Year (2014, 2018) and Bass Player of the Year (2018). Known for their high-energy performances, the group promises a memorable close to the event.

“We are incredibly excited for this year’s lineup and hope that residents of our community and the surrounding areas will join us to enjoy fantastic music in the beautiful setting of Covered Bridge Park,” said Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Director David Nanney.

Several food trucks will be on-site throughout the day, offering lunch, dinner and snack options. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
