Valley Forge Free Will

Loren Harris will debut his new album, “Hope and Healing,” at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church (his home church) on Sunday, March 23, at the 10:45 a.m. service.

“Loren is a host on the local gospel station, WBEJ, and is a blessing to our community,” said Pastor Randy Johnson. “We invite the public to come and enjoy his wonderful collection of songs of hope and healing.”

First Christian
First Christian Church Elizabethton will have worship Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The minister, Michael Klaus, will begin a new sermon series titled “One at a Time.”

There is Bible study on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for adults and classes for all ages.

First Christian has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 for an appointment.

First Christian is located at 513 Hattie Avenue.

 

Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, located at 1982 Gap Creek Road, will have spring revival services March 23-26, with Evangelist Brett Carr preaching Sunday at 11 a.m. Tyler Gaulden will preach Sunday at 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Special music will be provided nightly by the Zion Adult Choir. McKamey Legacy will sing at the Wednesday service.

A nursery will be provided.

The pastor, Dr. D. Alan King, invites the public to attend.

 

Doe River Baptist
Doe River Baptist Church will have its annual spring market Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A news release said it will be a day of “fully amazing finds,” local vendors, and small business owners.

Everyone is invited.

 

Stoney Creek Community Revival
Some 20-plus churches on Stoney Creek will come together for a community revival April 21-25, with services at 7 p.m. each evening at Hunter First Baptist Church, 693 Highway 91.

The evangelist will be Greg Graybeal, and worship will be led by Loren Harris and a community choir made up of members from participating churches.

Childcare will be provided by Hunter First Baptist and Lynn Valley Baptist.

The public is invited to make plans to attend.

 

Roan Street Free Will
Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church will have singing Sunday, March 23, at the 11 a.m. service featuring No Name But His. Troy Davis will preach at the 6 p.m. service.

Everyone is invited to attend both services.

 

Burbank Free Will
“He Is Risen,” a true depiction of the miracles, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, will be presented at Burbank Free Will Baptist Church on April 4 and 15 at 7 p.m. and April 6 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The public is invited to attend.

Burbank Free Will is located at 122 Burbank Road, Roan Mountain.

 

Bible Baptist
A spring revival will be held March 23-26 at Bible Baptist Church, 1217 Broad St.

Services Sunday will be held at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., with Greg Lentz as evangelist.

Special singing will be provided at each service.

Services Monday through Wednesday will be at 7 p.m., with Evangelist Lentz preaching.

Pastor Frank Osborne invites the public to attend.

 

Trinity Methodist
Trinity Methodist Church, a Global Methodist congregation, is presently meeting on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Hathaway-Percy Chapel, 101 East F St.

A new congregation, Trinity Methodist was formed from the former Watauga Point UMC, former Hunter UMC, and several former members of First United Methodist of Elizabethton.

Leann “Lu” Miller is serving the congregation as pastor.
