To the Editor:

Visiting my friend in Elizabethton, I do not understand why there is a road named Stonewall Jackson Drive behind Lowe’s. Why? This street does not seem that old. Has Stonewall Jackson ever set foot in Elizabethton? Or even in Tennessee? Doubt it.

Surely the city can find a better name that has true meaning and value to the community. You can’t convince me that this confederate is the best name they could come up with.
