The visiting Sullivan Heights Huskies were looking to come in and break free of the host T.A. Dugger Junior Varsity Cyclones on Monday evening, but it was going to be only a dream as the host team brought out the big chains to take away the Huskies’ plan.

Building a huge 27-14 lead at the intermission, the Jr. Cyclones turned on the gas in the second half to win handily 46-25 behind a game-high 12 points from Carson Lyons.

It was a total team effort in the first half offensively for the boys from TAD as Creed Baker and Collin Whitehead scored six points apiece to help build the lead.

Whitehead’s points came from beyond the arc as he netted two treys in the half. Lyons and Stephen Gorby contributed with five points in the half.

Light, for Sullivan Heights, scored all six of his game points in the first half on two treys to lead the visitors from Kingsport.

The second half played out much the same way as the first ended, as TAD outscored their visitors 19-7 to capture the win.

Besides Lyons’ output, Baker finished the game with eight points, while Whitehead had six.

Other scorers for TAD were Hanley Diaz (5), Drake Lytton (4), Rider Witten (4), Aaron Shelby (3), Tray Haynes (2) and Cooper Fair (1).

Light was followed by Stiltner with five points for the Huskies.
