Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

To the Editor:

I am the juvenile who posted the HVHS “Your Next” threat on instagram in mid-September. I would like to see if you would get my apology out to the public.

I am sorry for anyone who I have harmed, upset, or scared. From the bottom of my heart none of you all deserved this. In no way should any parent have to be scared to send their child to school and kids shouldn’t have to be scared of school. Before I go any further I would like to state that I had no intent of actually harming any students or staff at Happy Valley High School or any of the other schools nearby.

Continuing, I have no excuse for what I said or posted. What I did caused parents more stress than I could ever imagine. I would like to directly apologize to the HV students and staff for everything that I have done as well as the police/investigators for all the trouble I have caused them. I would also like to apologize to my family and friends for all the stress I have caused them.

I have recently been reading the Bible a lot more and trying to get more active with my church’s youth programs. I would like to thank all of the officers involved as well as the judge, JCDC staff, my therapist, family, and attorney for everything they have done to help me. I would like to take accountability for my actions and therefore face the punishment for those actions. For a long time I had myself convinced it wasn’t me, but someone I spoke to made me believe that if I continued to do this I would never get my life back on track the way I was wishing for. And once again, I, from the bottom of my heart, am sorry for all the troubles and pain I have caused.
