Tammy Renee Hardin, 59, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born November 1, 1965 in Carter County to the late Herman and Mary Carroll O’Quinn.

Tammy was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Prior to her illness she was a receptionist at TCAT. She also had worked at Medical Care and First Medical Group. She was a member of East River Park Christian Church. She loved Charlie Brown and Peanuts.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Kenneth Hardin; one son, Korey Hardin; one brother, Danny (Holli) O’Quinn; two sisters, Kim (Tom) Fowler and Judy Fletcher; two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Gary) Edwards and Angie (Billy) Holly; several nieces and nephews; and her two four-legged furry friends, “Lucy” and “Scruffy.”

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Smith, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by Loren Harris. A graveside service and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be present and former students of Elizabethton High School and the faculty, staff and coaches at Elizabethton High School. The family would like to express a special thank you to Sharon Edwards, Lorraine Wilson, Dare Jones, Regan Birchfield, Pat Ingram, the staff of Amedisys Hospice and the staff of Medical Care for all the care and support during her illness. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
