Greeneville Middle visited T.A. Dugger Middle School on Monday evening for a pair of girls’ basketball games against the host Jr. Lady Cyclones.

The visit wasn’t too cordial for the visitors, as the Jr. Lady Cyclones’ JV team powered their way past the Lady Greene Devils in the opener with a 30-9 victory, setting the tone for the rest of the night.

It was all Jr. Lady Cyclones from the opening tip, as the home team quickly built a 16-4 advantage by halftime.

Miley Bowling was the key that got the engine rolling for TAD, scoring five points in the half. Stella Holtsclaw and Lily Rice also contributed, with Holtsclaw adding four points and Rice scoring three in the first half.

Emma Standridge and Elliana Wright each scored two points for Greeneville in the first half.

The second half unfolded much like the first, as the Jr. Lady Cyclones proved too much to handle, cruising to the win.

Rice added a pair of 3-pointers in the second half to finish with a game-high nine points to pace TAD. Bowling ended with five points, while Holtsclaw, Haley Adams, and Asia Holtsclaw each contributed four points apiece in the victory.

Harper Collake and Elizabeth Swearingin also knocked down two points apiece for TAD.

Greeneville was led by Standridge, Elliana Wright, and Jacklyn Wright, who each scored two points. Five of Greeneville’s nine points came from the free-throw line.
