The City of Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department is bringing holiday magic to the community with its Storytime with Santa event, sponsored by Carter County Bank. The festive celebration will take place on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Elizabethton Recreation Center, 300 W. Mill St.

This year’s event features an inclusive experience designed to accommodate everyone. A Sensory-Friendly Storytime Hour will run from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., providing a calm, quiet environment for children who benefit from a quieter setting. Activities during this session will include storytime with Santa and other holiday-themed activities.

From 3 to 5 p.m., the Traditional Storytime with Santa will offer a lively holiday celebration for the whole family. Families can enjoy inflatables, music, a reading by Santa, and more.

The event is free and open to the public. Families are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in the holiday fun.
