American Legion Post 49 to hold disaster relief distribution

Residents that suffered losses of personal items during the flooding due to Hurricane Helene are welcome to come to the American Legion Watauga Post 49, 111 S. Watauga Ave., Elizabethton, on Friday, Nov. 29, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to receive the following items:
New and used blankets; charcoal grills and smoker; charcoal; cleaning supplies; canned goods; paper towels and toilet paper; clothing in all sizes (men, women, children); jackets, shoes and boots; tents, sleeping bags, cots, sheets, comforters; sanitary supplies; baby supplies; toys for children, and so much more.
The Watauga Post 49 looks forward to helping you in your time of need.
You will be asked to provide identification and proof of address upon arrival.
