The following arrests have been reported by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office:
Failure to Appear in Misdemeanor Case
On Nov. 14, Deputy Jeffery Winters arrested David Allen McInturff at the Washington County Detention Center. McInturff was wanted for failure to appear in a misdemeanor case, with bond set at $25,000. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
Domestic Assault Arrest
Deputy Jerry Dykes conducted a warrant service at 270 C Grindstaff Road on Nov. 14, arresting Jordan Raylee Elliott for domestic assault. Elliott was taken into custody and transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
Violation of Sex Offender Registration Act
On Nov. 14 at 11:11 p.m., Sgt. Tyler Holsclaw arrested Harvey L. Rose at a residence on Bristol Highway. Rose was wanted on a warrant for violating the Sex Offender Registration Act. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest
Deputy Jared Shelton stopped a vehicle with inoperable tag lights on Carl Smith Road on Nov. 15. The driver, Cory Richard Ferranti, was found to have an active warrant for violating the Sex Offender Registration Act. Ferranti was arrested and transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
Failure to Appear Arrest
On Nov. 15, Deputy Donovan Bemiller arrested Joshua S. Tipton at a residence on Swimming Pool Road in Hampton. Tipton was wanted for failure to appear on reckless driving and driving on a suspended license, with bond set at $25,000. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
Violation of Probation
Deputy Hunter Skalecki arrested Christopher Wade Guy Jr. on Nov. 15 in Butler after spotting him at a convenience store. Guy was wanted on two probation violation warrants. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center without incident.
Aggravated Domestic Assault Arrest
Lt. Justin Johnson and deputies arrested Nicholas D. Hardin at an apartment on Ford Lane in Elizabethton on Nov. 15. Hardin was wanted for aggravated domestic assault. He was taken into custody and transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
Fugitive Arrested for Out-of-State Warrant
On Nov. 16, Deputy Dalton McCloud arrested Chelsea Shea Perkins at Laurel Fork Trail Head in Hampton. Perkins was wanted in North Carolina for felony probation violation. She was taken into custody and charged as a fugitive from justice.
Violation of Protection Order
Deputy Robbie Huskins arrested Joshua A. Guinn on Nov. 16 at a residence on Russell Hill Road for violating an order of protection that prohibited alcohol consumption. Guinn was transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
DUI Arrest
Deputy Thomas Hill arrested Adrian Garcia on Nov. 16 after finding him passed out at a red light on South Sycamore Street. Garcia was charged with DUI, open container, and driving without a license after a breath test showed a BAC of .139. He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
Aggravated Assault
On Nov. 16, Deputy Robbie Huskins responded to a domestic assault on Norman Joines Road. Albert T. Hardy III was arrested for aggravated assault after choking his wife during an argument. Hardy was transported to the Carter County Detention Center, and the victim was taken to Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
Public Intoxication
Deputy Brett Butler arrested Jordan Raylee Elliott on Nov. 17 for public intoxication. Elliott was found wandering on Maude Peeks Road, reportedly knocking on a door and claiming to look for “space rocks.” He was transported to the Carter County Detention Center.
