After the Lady Patriots closed the gap to four late in the fourth quarter, Hampton’s Faye Carrico (25) extends the lead back to six, and the Lady Bulldogs never look back.
BLUFF CITY – The Hampton Bulldogs traveled to Bluff City on Thursday night and delivered a dominant performance, sweeping both games against the Sullivan East Patriots. The boys’ team secured a decisive 57-36 victory, while the Lady Bulldogs battled back from an early deficit to top the Lady Patriots 62-53.
In the boys’ game, the Bulldogs relied on a strong second-quarter surge to pull away from the Patriots. Bryce Fagan led Hampton with 16 points, pacing a balanced offensive effort that kept Sullivan East at bay throughout the contest.
The Lady Bulldogs overcame a challenging start to claim victory in the girls’ matchup, thanks to an outstanding performance by Piper Helle, who poured in 21 points to lead all scorers. Hampton’s resilience and determination helped them erase an early deficit and control the game down the stretch for the win.
Hampton will look to build on its momentum when the Bulldogs host Daniel Boone on Saturday, Nov. 23.
