Sharon Lynnette Shell Depew, 84, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born July 6, 1940 in Carter County to the late Albert K. and Helen Fisher Shell.

In earlier years, Sharon was employed at North American Rayon Corporation. She retired from State of Franklin Health Care as a Medical Records Specialist. She loved shopping and QVC and spending time with her family. She was a member of Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church and the Young at Heart Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Depew, and two sisters, Floss McKinney and Ann Hicks.

Survivors include three children, Diane Wilson, Susan Depew and David Depew and wife Kim; three grandchildren, James Wilson, Amber Depew and Ashley Depew; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Shell and wife Melinda; and her four-legged friend “Holly.”

A Service to Celebrate the Life of Sharon will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Johnson and Pastor Mark Potter officiating.  Music will be provided by Billy Wayne Arrington. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be James Wilson, Mason Wilson, Maddux Wilson, Carson Estep, Scott Jennings and Scott Odom. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.
