East Tennessee State University invites the community to celebrate the season with a special holiday screening of “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” on Monday, Nov. 18. Two showings of this 1983 Disney classic are scheduled at 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. at Bud Frank Cinema.
Join Mickey, Goofy, Donald and their friends as they bring Charles Dickens’ unforgettable holiday tale to life. In this animated retelling, Scrooge McDuck takes on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, learning valuable lessons in kindness and generosity with the help of wise spirits like Goofy and Jiminy Cricket. This timeless story, paired with Disney’s beloved characters, will entertain audiences of all ages and remind us of the true spirit of the season.
Located in the recently renovated Gilbreath Hall, Bud Frank Cinema is a cherished part of the region’s cultural landscape, hosting screenings, performances and events that enrich the community. As the only art cinema in the area outside of Asheville, North Carolina, Bud Frank continues its mission to offer engaging, high-quality entertainment for the ETSU community and beyond.
The screening follows the annual Holiday Lights Celebration happening at 5:45 p.m. at ETSU’s Alumni Plaza (at Burgin Dossett Hall facing the Carillon).
For disability accommodations, call the ETSU Office of Disability Services at (423) 439-8346.
