JOHNSON CITY – The Salvation Army of Johnson City has kicked off its annual Angel Tree adoption program, with an Angel Tree set up at the Johnson City Mall. The organization is calling on businesses, groups, places of worship, and individuals to adopt children and provide Christmas gifts for them this holiday season.

This year, the Salvation Army needs donors to adopt tags for more than 943 children in the community. Those interested in adopting Angels can contact Olivia Brokaw at Olivia.Brokaw@uss.salvationarmy.org or call 423-926-2101 to request a specific number of tags. The Salvation Army will provide tags and special bags for donations, and all Angel gifts must be turned in by Nov. 25, 2024.

Donations for the Angel Tree may be dropped off at Dawn of Hope, located at 500 E. Oakland Ave., on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
