Members of the Washington County Militia will gather to celebrate recent victories in the War for Independence and to give thanks for a bountiful harvest. There will be demonstrations of 18th Century life and living history demonstrations.

Also, the Fall Fibers sale will be held at the park Nov. 9, beginning at 10 a.m.

Fall is the time many plan their winter projects and our handmade holiday gifts! Spend a day visiting the region’s finest fiber producers and artists! The day will include workshops, vendors with handmade items for sale, raw fibers, and demonstrations of spinning, weaving, and more! Fiber vendors will offer fleeces, yarns, and rovings from locally raised sheep, alpacas, llamas, and goats. (Held inside the park Visitor Center).

The event is hosted by the Overmountain Weavers Guild.
