JOHNSON CITY – State of Franklin Healthcare Associates (SOFHA) announces the appointment of Dr. Kent Wright as Chief Clinical Integration Officer (CCIO). In this new role, Dr. Wright will apply his extensive experience in clinical optimization and leadership to oversee SOFHA’s clinic integration efforts, lead practice optimization initiatives, and take on the leadership of SOFHA’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).

As CCIO, Dr. Wright will lead the development and implementation of SOFHA Clinic Business Plans, ensuring alignment with SOFHA’s strategic vision. He will collaborate closely with clinical and operational leadership to streamline patient-care processes, reduce clinical variation, and foster innovation, all while maintaining SOFHA’s commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

In addition to his new role as CCIO, Dr. Wright will continue his impactful leadership as the Medical Director of SOFHA’s Express Care Urgent Care Centers and will continue to dedicate time to direct patient care, while focusing on improving clinic efficiency, enhancing patient access, and advancing SOFHA’s transition toward value-based care models.
