Janice “Lou” Eller, 75, of Elizabethton, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at her residence.
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Wilma Smith Peters and was born on June 26, 1949.
Lou worked in the Carter County Clerk’s Office for many years and retired as a secretary with 911. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Elizabethton.
Those left to cherish her many memories include two daughters, Lia Pritchard (Brian) of Fall Branch and Lucinda “Cindy” Eller of Bristol, Tenn.; one grandson, Jake Pritchard of Fall Branch; and her grand dog, “Bella Boo.”
A Celebration of Life for Janice “Lou” Eller will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, November 1, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Michael Tyson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, prior to the service in the chapel. Private disposition will be held at a later date. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to a local charity of their choice for flood relief victims of Hurricane Helene.
