New hours announced for NET Disaster Relief Center

The hours for the Northeast Tennessee Disaster Relief Center have been updated for October 27-31.

The center is located at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

The center will be closed Sunday.

– Monday, Oct. 28: Public donations and call center will be closed. Warehouse and workday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. organizing and sorting distribution.

– Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 29 and 30: Public donation drop off hours 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteer shifts for the warehouse and call center 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

– Thursday, Oct. 31: Public donations and call center closed. Warehouse workday 9 a.m to 2 p.m. for organizing and sorting distributions.

The public is asked to consider monetary donations. As the communities begin to heal and begin the rebuild and long-term recovery efforts, financial support becomes the greatest need to survivors and the non-profit community assisting with reconstruction. The following organizations have set up secure areas on their websites to accept monetary donations from groups or individuals: Appalachia Service Project, Christian Appalachian Project, Region AHEAD, Samaritan’s Purse, Team Rubicon, Tennessee Baptists, Volunteer United, and American Red Cross.
