After being severely impacted by flooding during Hurricane Helene, Beside the Ring Wrestling is set to return to action with a live event at Happy Valley High School on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024. The event will take place at 121 Warpath Lane in Elizabethton, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the first match scheduled for 7 p.m.
Beside the Ring Wrestling is offering free general admission tickets (row 3 and back) for all students and children with a paying adult. “This is a way for us to help give back to a region that has had a rough season,” said Scotty Campbell, president of Beside the Ring Wrestling. “Our wrestling ring and all of our equipment were flooded. We will be ready by showtime.” Concessions will be available, with proceeds benefiting Happy Valley High School, which has been serving as a resource center for flood victims.
The event will feature 15-year WWE veteran Heath Slater (formerly known as WWE Superstar Heath Slater), who will go up against Beside the Ring Champion “The Golden Child” Evan Golden. Wrestling legend Marcus “Buff The Stuff” Bagwell, formerly of WCW/WWE/nWo, is also scheduled to appear. Additional matches include a women’s bout between Shawna Reed and Sam Street, tag team wrestling, and more.
Tickets are on sale now through SimpleTix, with front row and second row tickets priced at $25, and general admission (third row and back) at $15.
Card subject to change.
