State Senator Rusty Crowe (R-Johnson City) recently announced that victims of Hurricane Helene can apply for relief through the REALTORS Relief Foundation offered by the National Association of REALTORS and Tennessee REALTORS. The funding is specifically for housing related aid to those who suffered damage or loss of housing.

“The Tennessee Realtors have really stepped up to the plate and put together a great tool to aid flood victims in Upper East Tennessee”, said Crowe. “I highly encourage everyone that has been affected by Hurricane Helene to apply for this relief. Tennessee is the Volunteer State for a reason, and we are seeing why. Tennesseans must continue to come together to aid fellow citizens through a tragic time.”

Hurricane Helene affected many counties in Northeast Tennessee. The historic flooding led many organizations such as the Tennessee REALTORS to pitch in and help flood victims.  

“The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene has been heartbreaking and overwhelming,” Alexander and Hicks said in a joint statement. “In the aftermath of this terrible storm, we are grateful for the outpouring of support we have seen from so many individuals and organizations like the Tennessee Realtors. The volunteer spirit remains strong in our state, and we encourage eligible residents to apply for this assistance.”

The deadline to apply is December 1, 2024. Applicants must live in Johnson, Unicoi, Cocke, Hawkins, Washington, Greene, Grainger, Hamblen, or Carter counties.
