In continued response to the needs of the community, students, and their families, Carter County Schools will remain closed for the week of Oct. 14-18. The following week, Oct. 21-25, 2024, schools will remain closed for the previously scheduled fall break. The tentative date for students to return to school is Monday, Oct. 28.

Drive-thru meal service will continue Monday through Friday through Oct. 22, with Hampton Elementary and Happy Valley High School serving as distribution centers through Oct. 18. After this date, both locations will close to prepare for the return of students, and all remaining donations will be moved to other distribution centers in Carter County.

Carter County Schools looks forward to welcoming students back as soon as possible and appreciates the community’s understanding and support during this time.
