To the Editor:

I would like to thank the Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women (TNFDW) for their donations to the relief efforts in Northeast Tennessee. Their donation to the United Way of East Tennessee Highlands as recommended by the Carter County Democratic Women (CCDW) is greatly appreciated. 

I would also like to thank all those caring individuals and businesses who have dedicated their time and sweat equity to help our fellow citizens in this time of need. Please continue to volunteer because there is still a lot left to do. A big hurrah for our government leaders, military, and first responders who stepped up providing funds and assistance on cleaning and rebuilding, and especially connecting landlocked communities to necessary supplies. 

We have seen the kindness, generosity and love that still flows through the veins of the citizens of the United States of America. God bless you.
