Blue Springs Christian

Blue Springs Christian Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday, Oct. 6, at the 10:45 a.m. service.

The church, located at 107 Don Rominger Road in the Blue Springs community, was established in 1894.

Following the service lunch will be served in the fellowship hall.

“We are especially inviting those people whose church has been damaged in last weekend’s flood and they are unable to have service to come join us in worship and fellowship Sunday,” said a church spokesperson.

 

First Christian

First Christian Church has worship at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. Worship includes a church-wide series titled “Big Ideas.” The Sunday School lessons also correlate with the sermons in this series.

Bible study for adults, youth, and children is held on Wednesday nights at 6 o’clock. The Wednesday study is on John MacArthur’s “Twelve Unlikely Heroes.”

First Christian has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.

The church is located at 513 Hattie Ave.

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton, will have both an online and live worship service Sunday at 11 a.m. 

The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Small Circles, Great Joy” based on Luke 10: 1-10.

Meditation is Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in Martin Center.

First Presbyterian is located at 119 West F St.

 

St. Elizabeth Catholic

St. Elizabeth Catholic Church will have its annual craft and bake sale Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All items featured at the sale are homemade. The sale will feature some great bargains, beautiful crafts and delicious baked goods.

St Elizabeth is located at 510 West C St.

Everyone is invited.

 

Pleasant Beach Baptist

A fall festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pleasant Beach Baptist Church.

The event will feature food trucks, bounce houses, games, candy, live bluegrass music, and give-aways.

The church is located at 125 Watauga Road.
