City updates list of donation needs; monetary account set up

Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Center, 300 W. Mill St., will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday for drive-thru supply pick-up and donation drop-offs.

Monetary donations can be made to the “Carter County Relief Fund” in person at Carter County Bank, and an online donation system is in the works.

Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to unload donations, sort and distribute items, and load up supplies.

According to the city’s social media page, the following items are needed: shovels, mops, brooms, buckets, bleach, tarps, first-aid kits, pillows, towels, and N95 masks.
