Upper East Tennessee DAR Chapters prepared and served dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area to members of the Overmountain Victory Trail Association who reenact the historic 1780 march to Kings Mountain where our patriot victory turned the tide of the American Revolution. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the reenactment of this journey. 

The Julius Dugger-John Carter NSDAR Chapter’s next meeting will be Oct. 5 at 10:15 a.m. at the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library.  Each meeting has an interesting program, and the public is invited to attend. If interested in joining DAR, any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.
