The Waters of Roan Highlands recently held its annual Farmers Day Market for residents.
Residents aren’t able to get out and go to a farmer’s market, so each year the staff with the help of the community brings the market to them. Each resident was able to pick from an assortment of fresh fruits, vegetables, jellies, jams, and goodies free of charge.
Donations for the event were provided by Maryanne Owens from the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library Hump Mountain Apple House, Food City, and the facility’s family members.
