BRISTOL – Gordon “MacGregor” Hall-Wurst, DO, joins Holston Medical Group’s (HMG) team of highly qualified providers to support the community in navigating its pediatric care. He will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to newborns, infants, children, and adolescents at Bristol Pediatric Associates, 320 Bristol West Blvd., Suite 1B, Bristol, Tenn.

Dr. Hall-Wurst has a longstanding passion for working with children. As a teen, he volunteered as a tutor to help educate younger students. He also volunteered at the local YMCA, working with young athletes with special needs and organizing activities for camp programs. He knew early on that he wanted a career that would foster his passion for helping children.

As part of HMG’s Bristol Pediatric Associates goal to provide comprehensive medical care, Dr. Hall-Wurst will provide well-child checks, chronic medical care and acute care in both the outpatient and inpatient settings, and specialized care. “My aim is to engage children in a way that leads to better health outcomes,” said Dr. Hall-Wurst. “Children have incredible energy and zest for life, and I find joy in bringing that positivity to my practice.”

Dr. Hall-Wurst understands the uniqueness of each child’s needs, stressing the importance of personalized care. “I partner closely with parents because they know their child best. If something is wrong, we can design a tailored plan that will impact their child early, setting a strong foundation for future success.”

Dr. Hall-Wurst embodies the organization’s mission to provide whole-person care that exceeds patients’ expectations and builds lasting relationships. “I want to work toward attainable goals with parents and explain healthy habits,” stated Dr. Hall-Wurst. “Being active is a natural part of being a kid, and we need to encourage more ways to be active in everyday life.”

Dr. Hall-Wurst received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, NY., and then completed a residency at ETSU Pediatrics in Johnson City, Tenn.

Dr. Hall-Wurst enjoys spending time with his wife, four young children, and multiple pets. Their family enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and backpacking. When not spending time in the mountains, he plays multiple sports, including football, basketball, and soccer.
