The T.A. Dugger Middle School soccer team secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Liberty Bell Middle School on Tuesday night.
Forward Mea Michaud opened the scoring for T.A. Dugger, but Liberty Bell fought back to take a 2-1 lead. Undeterred, the Lady Cyclones rallied, with midfielders Nola Greenwell and Sabrah Smith each finding the back of the net to put their team ahead for good.
“Tonight was a great win,” head coach Samantha Husbands said. “I am very proud of the girls for continuing to grow and develop together as a team. We passed the ball well and attacked and defended as a unit. Three different players scored tonight, and that shows the depth that we are beginning to have in the program. It’s exciting to see the pieces come together for Elizabethton soccer.”
The victory marks a significant step forward for T.A. Dugger, showcasing the team’s growing cohesion and depth.
