Elsie Rae Culbert, daughter of Isaac and Summer Culbert, ran into the arms of Jesus early Sunday morning, Sept. 1, at 4½ months old. Elsie is surrounded by a large family and has joined many loved ones in heaven.

During Elsie’s short life, she taught a lot of nurses and doctors and shined the light of Jesus for all who met her. We will forever be thankful for the time that we had with her. We would like to thank her NICU team at Niswonger, as well as Vanderbilt NICU, who were her family during those months and also family to us. We would also like to thank the Nashville Ronald McDonald House for so graciously housing us as we cared for our girl. Elsie’s legacy will continue to live on for years to come.

The family welcomes friends to a celebration of life for Elsie Rae on Sept. 28 at Grace Fellowship Church, 2314 S. Greenwood Drive, Johnson City, TN 37604. The service will begin at 11:30 a.m.
