ROAN MOUNTAIN — The Cloudland Highlanders fell at home Friday night to the Johnson County Longhorns, 27-16. Trailing at the half, 20-16, Johnson County would tack on a late score with just five minutes left in the final quarter. Grayson Cole had 26 carries for 156 yards and scored two touchdowns in the loss, while Landon Barnette chipped in 43 yards on the ground. Defensively, Kingston Cole had eight tackles, and Landon Barnette added nine tackles. Jacob Stinnett flipped the field multiple times for the Highlanders, recording two punts of over 50 yards.
