Elizabethton Police Department reports multiple arrests

The following arrests have been reported by the Elizabethton Police Department:
- August 26: Cpl. Tim Garland responded to a shoplifting incident at Walmart on Overmountain Drive. Employee Gallerie L. Burns was cited for shoplifting two items totaling $30.37. Burns is scheduled to appear in Carter County General Sessions Court on September 30 at 9 a.m.
- August 23: Officer Mitchell Tolley arrested Allen P. Startt on charges of public intoxication after he refused to leave a residence on Bradley Street. Startt, who also had three outstanding warrants, is scheduled for a court appearance on September 30 at 9 a.m.
- August 23: Officer Mitchell Tolley arrested Charles R. Hoke at Tobacco Depot on Broad Street for two active warrants. During the arrest, Hoke was found in possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. Hoke is scheduled to appear in Carter County General Sessions Court on September 30 at 9 a.m.
- August 23: Cpl. Eric Norman responded to Walmart on Overmountain Drive regarding employee Mark R. Ailport, who was observed shoplifting multiple items valued at $217.59. Ailport was issued a criminal summons and is scheduled to appear in court on September 9 at 9 a.m.
- August 23: Cpl. Spencer Ward arrested Alyssa Ann Odom after a pursuit that ended on Mary Patton Highway. Odom, who was charged with DUI (second offense), evading arrest, and other related charges, is scheduled to appear in court.
- August 21: Officer Rocky Croy arrested Lisa Marsandda May at Walmart for shoplifting merchandise valued at $1,400.72 and possession of prohibited weapons. May is scheduled to appear in Carter County General Sessions Court on September 9.
Note: All arrestees are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
