Roger Bowers, local author and genealogist, will be guest speaker for the September meeting of the Watauga Association of Genealogists. The group will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at the Johnson City Public Library and online via Zoom.

Bowers’s presentation is titled “Treasures in the Attic.” Bowers will suggest to members what to do with the family treasures you find and how to prepare this information on your family history. These treasures can include birth, death, and marriage records, wills, court records, and photos.

His presentation is based on what he did to produce his book, “Descendants of Leonard Bowers.”

The public is invited to attend WAGS meetings. The zoom link can be found on the first page of the WAGS website.
