Cyclones sweep three-way match at Elizabethton Golf Course

The Elizabethton golf teams continue to play solid golf in the 2024 season, as both the boys and girls came out on top in a three-way match Monday at the Elizabethton Golf Course against West Ridge and Sullivan East.
In boys’ play, the Cyclones finished nine strokes better than second-place finisher West Ridge, as Elizabethton fired a team-low 159 to the Wolves’ 168. Sullivan East was 19 strokes off the lead, closing out their round at 178.
Elizabethton freshman Bryson Hardin continued his first year as a Cyclone with a low round and top medalist score of 37 to lead EHS, while Seth Whitehead finished with a nine-hole total of 40. Braxton Avery and Marshal Holtsclaw contributed to the four-man team score, each carding a round of 41.
West Ridge’s Jayden Foster finished with a 39 to lead the Wolves. Raiden Collier recorded a round of 40, with JJ Smith adding a 44. Bo McGee and Fletcher Henritze each carded a 45.
Will Carrier was the low man for the Patriots, checking in with a nine-hole total of 39.
On the girls’ side, Callie Mosley finished with a 46, while Clara Roe added a 50 to make up the two-player team total of 96, which was two strokes better than West Ridge, who finished with a 98 for the day. Daisy Kizer and Anna Manship each recorded rounds of 49 to make up the Lady Wolves’ total.
Sullivan East finished third with a team total of 107. Hailey Tester paced the Lady Patriots with a 53, while Hayden Pierson added a round of 54 to complete East’s team total.
