Sew Crazy of Northeast Tennessee to host August meeting

JOHNSON CITY – Sew Crazy of Northeast Tennessee will hold its next meeting on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, located at 201 E. Watauga Ave. The charitable sewing group focuses on creating projects for various charities and groups aiding the local community.
During this meeting, members will begin work on sensory mats for developmentally challenged children, which will be donated to local schools. Additionally, the group is crafting Christmas baskets for the unhoused and adult dignity aprons for nearby facilities.
The meeting will conclude with a potluck lunch. Sewers of all experience levels are invited to attend and are encouraged to bring their sewing machines and travel sewing kits. All other materials, including fabric, notions, and patterns, will be provided.
