The first annual Thriving Through the Thicket Music Festival is planned for Sept. 27 and 28 at the Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark in Elizabethton.

The event is a fundraiser for Recovery Resources TN. The event will be a Friday evening and Saturday event hosting lots of regional talent, great music, connection, and community. All proceeds will go directly to the mission of Recovery Resources TN. “empowering communities to thrive beyond addiction.” The goal of Recovery Resources TN is to offer safe, stable sober living for men in the region recovering from substance use as well as increase our capacity to provide family engagement for those men to stabilize their lives and return to their families. Currently, there are 11 residences based in Northeast Tennessee. A huge part of their mission is to reintegrate individuals into their communities where they can live, thrive, and be productive members of their families.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Friday and will feature Garet Howard, Jason Edwards, and Dimestore Cowboys.

Saturday, gates will open at 11 a.m. and entertainment will be provided by Matt Bottcher, Shake It Like A Caveman, William Matheny, Wayne Graham, Jeremy Stout, and Arlo McKinley, who will close out the two-day event, performing at 9 p.m.
